SPIRIT WARRIOR KIDS ARE THE SEEDS TO ECO EDUCATION
Spirit Warrior Kids Team Bottle Drive
Billy and his Spirit Warrior Kids team were so happy with the success of their garbage day program they thought it was time to plan another Eco project. They decided to have a Spirit Warrior Kids team bottle drive, they would ask their teacher Mr. Wilson if he would help them collect bottles, cans and plastic container’s on the next Saturday coming up. Mr. Wilson has a truck and he’s part of Billy’s Spirit Warrior kids team and he's always willing to help.
They would design a bottle drive notice that kids would take home on Friday so people would know to get their can’s, bottle’s and plastic container’s ready for Saturday when the Spirit Warrior Kids team comes by to collect them.
Regular size bottle’s, can’s and plastic container’s are worth 10¢ each. One liter and larger plastic container’s and glass bottles are worth 25¢ each. If they raised enough money they would take the school to the waterslides for a fun day.
Nine o'clock on Saturday morning Billy’s Spirit Warrior Kids team gathered at the school to start their bottle drive, Mr. Wilson would slowly drive through the neighborhoods and Billy and his team would run from house to house collecting containers and donations.
After three hours Mr. Wilson’s truck was so full they couldn’t get another can, bottle or container in it. They all met back at the school to sort through their container’s and put them into piles so they could calculate how much money they raised.
They put all the regular can’s, bottle’s and container’s into one pile, all the bottle’s and plastic container’s one liter and over into another pile.
They collected 672 regular size can’s, 396 regular size bottles, 209 regular size plastic containers, 176 four liter milk jugs, 217 one liter plastic pop container’s and 102 one liter glass bottles. They also collected $146.00 in donations
